...talking about?Do most nail salons have natural shade tips? Not clear, not french, natural? And will they know what I am...?
Yes they will know what your talking about. When they are done just ask them to leave the tips natural, say you don't want the french tips. But they will still charge you the regular price, you could ask for a discount but I'm sure you'll end up paying full price.

Take a look at any recent version of Jane Austen.

Bingo, you've got the salons (except often smokier, as smoking was all the rage).

The people in them would also look similar to Austen portrayals, except the bodices and lace would be lighter, more low cut and, if not revealing, then suggestive.

There would be a lot more giggling and sniggering going on also.

    What are/is French Salons?

What is the product that many asian nail salons use to create a straight line when doing french manicures?

I know they paint the white sloppily on then use something to create a straight line...what do they use??What is the product that many asian nail salons use to create a straight line when doing french manicures?
they use what is nail art polish it comes in different colors with a very thin fine brush rather than a regular; thicker brush that you will find in your typical nail polish bottle. You can buy it at your neighborhood beauty supply store. In the past I have purchased white; black and silver(all seperate colors)What is the product that many asian nail salons use to create a straight line when doing french manicures?
maybe they stick surgical tapes over the nails, leaving only ends to be painted white. when done/dried, the tapes are then removed. that's why you still get straight lines even when it's a sloppy work.
paper. just put it againt your finger nail

What is the french manicure process when doing it at a salon?

    1. Trim your nails, then file. If your nails are short or you want to grow them out, just file them. Don't be too rough; you don't want to break your nails or cause nail bruises (the little white dots you get on your nails when you injure them).

    2. Remove all nail polish. Make sure you get the polish on the sides and edges with a q-tip.

    3. Soak in warm water or milk for 5 minutes. Your whole hand doesn't need to be in the bowl, just your nails.

    4. Remove your nails from the water or milk and dry them off. Rub them with a rich moisturizer, like Eucerin. Push back your cuticles gently with your fingernail or an orange stick.

    5. Apply a nail polish color of your choice. Then, apply a clear top coat for that extra shine and extra protectant against chipping.

    Tips

    * Don't clip your cuticles with nail clippers, it's best to push them back.

    * Beforehand, if you want to, you can rub some olive or vegetable oil into your cuticles to make them looser and easier to push back. Baby Oil also works well and it smells good.

    Warnings

    * If you do decide to use a nail salon instead of giving yourself a manicure or pedicure at home, here are some of the things you should look for when visiting a nail salon:

    * Use only accredited salons and technicians and look for certifications of competency, which should be displayed prominently in the salon.

    * The salon should be clean and tidy, with linen and towels changed between clients.

    * All chemicals should be in clearly marked containers.

    * Metal tools that could penetrate the skin should be sterilized in an autoclave.

    * Non-disposable nail implements should be rinsed, scrubbed in tepid water and detergent and dried, or wiped with 70% alcohol between clients.

    * Some nail salons keep implements especially set aside for each regular client. You should ask your nail technician to do this for you, if you are a regular client of a nail salon.

    * Nail implements need to be clean and dry. Don't let anyone use an implement on you that's been left sitting in water, even if the water contains disinfectant.

    * Don't use a foot spa if you've shaved your legs the night before or on the day of the pedicure, of if you have any cuts on your legs, as this makes you more vulnerable to infection.

    * If you are having acrylic nails put on, ask your nail artist to explain the procedure, what products they're going to use and how to care for the nails at home.

    * Don't be shy to ask questions about the manicure, the chemicals being used and how the implements have been cleaned. What is the french manicure process when doing it at a salon?
clear polish then tips then more clear polish

Info about E. Rousseau, french sculptor... participated in the Paris, Salon 1910?

Salon de l茅sculpture, Paris 1910Info about E. Rousseau, french sculptor... participated in the Paris, Salon 1910?
Rousseau was born in Geneva, Switzerland, and throughout his life described himself as a citizen of Geneva. His mother, Suzanne Bernard Rousseau, died a week later due to complications from childbirth, and his father Isaac, a failed watchmaker, abandoned him in 1722 to avoid imprisonment for fighting a duel. His childhood education consisted solely of reading Plutarch's Lives and Calvinist sermons.

Rousseau left Geneva on March 14, 1728, after several years of apprenticeship to a notary and then an engraver. He then met Fran莽oise-Louise de Warens, a French Catholic baroness who would later became Rousseau's lover, even though she was twelve years his elder. Under the protection of de Warens, he converted to Catholicism.

Rousseau spent a few weeks in a seminary and beginning in 1729, six months at the Annecy Cathedral choir school. He also spent much time travelling and engaging in a variety of professions; for instance, in the early 1730s he worked as a music teacher in Chamb茅ry. In 1736 he enjoyed a last stay with de Warens near Chamb茅ry, which he found idyllic, but by 1740 he had departed again, this time to Lyon to tutor the young children of Gabriel Bonnet de Mably.

In 1742 Rousseau moved to Paris in order to present the Acad茅mie des Sciences with a new system of musical notation he had invented, based on a single line displaying numbers that represented intervals between notes and dots and commas that indicated rhythmic values. The system was intended to be compatible with typography. The Academy rejected it as useless and unoriginal.

From 1743 to 1744, he was secretary to the French ambassador in Venice, whose republican government Rousseau would refer to often in his later political work. After this, he returned to Paris, where he befriended and lived with Th茅r猫se Lavasseur, an illiterate seamstress who bore him five children. As a result of his theories on education and child-rearing, Rousseau has often been criticized by Voltaire and modern commentators for putting his children in an orphanage as soon as they were weaned. In his defense, Rousseau explained that he would have been a poor father, and that the children would have a better life at the foundling home. Such eccentricities were later used by critics to vilify Rousseau as socially dysfunctional in an attempt to discredit his theoretical work.

The tomb of Rousseau in the crypt of the Panth茅on, ParisWhile in Paris, he became friends with Diderot and beginning in 1749 contributed several articles to his Encyclop茅die, beginning with some articles on music. His most important contribution was an article on political economy, written in 1755. Soon after, his friendship with Diderot and the Encyclopedists would become strained.

In 1749, on his way to Vincennes to visit Diderot in prison, Rousseau heard of an essay competition sponsored by the Acad茅mie de Dijon, asking the question whether the development of the arts and sciences has been morally beneficial. Rousseau's response to this prompt, answering in the negative, was his 1750 ';Discourse on the Arts and Sciences';, which won him first prize in the contest and gained him significant fame.

Rousseau claimed that during the carriage ride to visit Diderot, he had experienced a sudden inspiration on which all his later philosophical works were based. This inspiration, however, did not cease his interest in music and in 1752 his opera Le Devin du village was performed for King Louis XV.

In 1754, Rousseau returned to Geneva, where he reconverted to Calvinism and regained his official Genevan citizenship. In 1755 Rousseau completed his second major work, the Discourse on the Origin and Basis of Inequality Among Men. Beginning with this piece, Rousseau's work found him increasingly in disfavor with the French government.

Rousseau in 1761 published the successful romantic novel Julie, ou la nouvelle H茅lo茂se (The New Heloise). In 1762 he published two major books, first The Social Contract (Du Contrat Social) in April and then 脡mile, or On Education in May. Both books criticized religion and were banned in both France and Geneva. Rousseau was forced to flee arrest and made stops in both Bern and Motiers in Switzerland. While in Motiers, Rousseau wrote the Constitutional Project for Corsica (Projet de Constitution pour la Corse).

Facing criticism in Switzerland 鈥?his house in Motiers was stoned in 1765 鈥?Rousseau in January of 1766 took refuge with the philosopher David Hume in Great Britain, but after 18 months he left because he believed Hume was plotting against him[1].

Rousseau returned to France under the name ';Renou,'; although officially he was not allowed back in until 1770. In 1768 he married Th茅r猫se, and in 1770 he returned to Paris. As a condition of his return, he was not allowed to publish any books, but after completing his Confessions, Rousseau began private readings. In 1771 he was forced to stop this, and this book, along with all subsequent ones, was not published until 1782, four years after his death.

Rousseau continued to write until his death. In 1772, he was invited to present recommendations for a new constitution for Poland, resulting in the Considerations on the Government of Poland, which was to be his last major political work. In 1776 he completed Dialogues: Rousseau Judge of Jean-Jacques and began work on the Reveries of the Solitary Walker. In order to support himself through this time, he returned to copying music. Because of his partially-justified paranoia, he did not seek attention or the company of others. While taking a morning walk on the estate of the Marquis de Giradin at Ermenonville (28 miles northeast of Paris), Rousseau suffered a hemorrhage and died on July 2, 1778.

Rousseau was initially buried on the Ile des Peupliers. His remains were moved to the Panth茅on in Paris in 1794, sixteen years after his death. The tomb was designed to resemble a rustic temple, to recall Rousseau's theories of nature. In 1834, the Genevan government reluctantly erected a statue in his honor on the tiny Ile Rousseau in Lake Geneva. In 2002, the Espace Rousseau was established at 40 Grand-Rue, Geneva, Rousseau's birthplaceInfo about E. Rousseau, french sculptor... participated in the Paris, Salon 1910?

How do they do French tips in the nail salon?

I've never been to a nail salon, but I do paint my own nails--flowers and all those designs. I've never figured out how they do French tips in the nail salon...probably because I've never been in one. Don't give me the tape method...it's a waste of tape and probably takes a lot of time. The Q-tip method is much better but I would like to know how they do it in the nail salons. People who have gotten a French tip in a nail salon or people who work at a nail salon, can you please tell me?

Thank you very much. =)How do they do French tips in the nail salon?
If you talking about natural nails they paint 2 coats of white polish on. Leave it dry for a bit. Using a fine brush and dipping it in nail polish , slowly remove the polish and create a happy smiley line. After that one coat of base coat. One or two coat of a light beige or light pink colour polish on top. Some usually leave it clear or paint a clear pink polish. Then Top coat.

Need a little practice and it won't be to hard, once you get it.

    Patient and precise.

You can draw it by hand but it won't give it a nice natural perfect nail curve line. How do they do French tips in the nail salon?
There are different ways to achieve it. If you always want white tip and never want a color painted on, then they would probably put literally a white tip on your nails and then do the acrylic. Another way is to have it painted on. They paint the tip white and then clean it up with a small brush dipped in nail polish remover (that is the method I recommend)

Im talking fake nails here though, not natural nails
I guess you mean when they paint them on?

I get french acrylic tip, I think they look prettier.

Just do the Q-tip method if you like it. It just takes practice. You can get acrylic kits at the store like target or walmart, maybe ulta or sephora.

    Hope I helped.
well the sell kits at Walgreen's, grocery stores, and any salon supply stores. They have every thing you will need and directions. But if you by the cheap one it will be just that. Spring for the best and your nails will look Great!!
usually the tail tech just does them by hand, with like just regular nail polish. or if you get acrylics they use white tips so then they dont have to do anything but paint them a clearish pink or beige color of polish.
they usually airbrush it on when you go to the salon...but if its fake nails they usually use a special white tip tht they just glue on

    hope it helped
a very fine brush or solid brush and they will make that layer once the first or second coating of the first task that is done. u shuld go and experience it
A very fine brush, like a very fine paint brush. VERY FINE. If you haven't been you should go once, it's and experience. :P

Would you take your gay best friend to the salon to get a french-tip mani/pedi if he said he wanted support?

This is something I've wanted my whole life but I can't seem to convince any of my girlfriends to go with me. I don't care what other people will think of me, I just want french tips for the same reason any average girl would want them, to feel pretty and to fulfill a part of me... I've never been to a salon so I would want one of my girlfriends there for support. Would any of you do this for your gay best friend in this situation?? What if he offered to but you a set of your own? Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Would you take your gay best friend to the salon to get a french-tip mani/pedi if he said he wanted support?
    of course i would!

    after all, their only nails

    why can't men have them?

+ if you want them so much who cares what they think?

if your friends are such good friends they'd take you right? :)

hope ive helpedWould you take your gay best friend to the salon to get a french-tip mani/pedi if he said he wanted support?
i'd would love it if one of my gay friends asked me to do that for them. i wouldn't care if he offered to buy a set of my own, it's not really the look i go for. but it would be so much fun to go with a gay friend to get his done.

i hope you get to the salon soon, good luck =)
Of course I would take my gay friend to get a manicure and pedicure if thats what he wanted to do. You are supposed to have your friends back in good and bad situations that's what friends are for.
No offence but getting french tips isn't really a big deal... no need to have a support team there with you. It's actually really weird to bring someone with you who isn't getting something done at the salon too.
I would. I wouldn't want anything in return. I think it's stupid that people will be a friend only in socially acceptable situations. Oh well, maybe one day eh??
    upuphu
Just do it at your house.
yes i would. i love all my friends and i would do anything for them!(:
why would you feel pretty with french manicure tips?
I never been to a salon either.... I would be supportive of my friend, hell even my own husband if he wanted something special like that. You shouldn't have to pay for your friends nail service, they shouldn't be getting any payment for being there, nor should they be bored in a chair. They should have their nails done too, an enjoy the moment. I wanna be your friend....I wanna go to the salon for the first time too. I would be scared of transferable nail fungus from GAWD who knows. Nails are just dirty, dead skin under them when we scratch an such. Actually garden dirt is not that bad, just think about it gives chills. I always tell my children that only monsters are in our nose and under our nails. I have been believing that for a long time.

Can you do your own french nails at home using the same materials as in salons?

Does anyone know what materials are needed? such as the fake fingertips. Can you do your own french nails at home using the same materials as in salons?
yes, but only if you really know what you're doing. Just buy the cheap glue on ones and put like 8 coats of clear polish on them, it will make them look more like acrylic. If you don't know what you're doing with the real materials, then DO NOT mess with your nails! Can you do your own french nails at home using the same materials as in salons?
You can get kits at any pharmacy for doing nails and french manicure kits...salley henson makes a kit with a thin brush for tips!

lol get her to take them off, well if she works at the salon she should be able to! if not get them removed (have to pay) if you dont want to get some actone and soak them in that - should come off :) lol! thats funny ;D i wanna do that to my boyf! lol! although i bet he'd just leave them on! XD
LOL. Sorry buddy. Soak 'em in pure acetone. (You can get it at the drugstore next to the nail polish remover. It's cheap.) They also make stuff designed just for removing artificial nails. They will come off. :)
the women at the salon can remove them. but you can clip them first , then use acetone to remove as much polish as you can ...then lift them slowly w. a little piece of plastic...included in many nail grooming kits
soak them in acetone (polish remover for non-natural nails)- you may need to soak them for 45 minutes or more since there new while buffing them or filing the acrylic down every 5 min.
just go to the nail place and have them take it off,

    they might charge you though.
heck, leave 'em on. after all, halloween's coming. haha
    just pull them off

First off, if you are getting acrylics, get them to take them off too. It doesn't come off easily haha.

And second, for Walmart to have such ';low prices'; their salon should cost like $10!!! The nailery in there is so high. Nobody else charges for french-tip, or $20 for a full set. They're crazy. My advice = Go somewhere cheaper.

To what extent is French law broken by salons?

During the Enlightenment, does anyone know why salons were against French law? Help me!To what extent is French law broken by salons?
Enlightenment salons brought forth a new element of ';seriousness and regularity'; to the salon as they formed the social base of the Republic of Letters and thus contributed to the social project of the Enlightenment.

However, between the salons of the time of Louis XV and that of the time of Louis XVI, is the difference between the two reigns. The salon of the time of Louis XV seemed to open onto the present, the salon of the time of Louis XVI opens out onto the future. Its walls, its architecture are saddened like the court and like society, by reform, seriousness, rigidity.

They range from $25.00- $ 50.00 depending on where you go.How much does french nails cost at a nail salon.?
Depends on where you go, a nicer salon in a really nice aread with nicer quality will be tons more then the opposite... call up or find a close salon online and check the prices
depends were u live. some places its like 50 and some places it can be like 20.
about $5 more than a regular manicure.
my sister got them for $40.

How long do your nails have to be to get a french manicure at a salon? because my nails are really short.?

my nails are really short too because i play water polo and am not allowed to have any white on my nails. however i get french manicures all of the time. btw, if your nails are short because you bite them, stop the habbit! i had the same one and the looked awful, the frech manicure helps with that too.How long do your nails have to be to get a french manicure at a salon? because my nails are really short.?
Short is fine for a French manicure. It will also make the lengths look the same incase you have some that are a little shorter. How long do your nails have to be to get a french manicure at a salon? because my nails are really short.?
I like french manicures on short nails but that's just me.you can get it with short, long,or fake nails
you can get a french manicure with your short nails, or you can get acrilic nails with a french manicure. it really doesn't matter what length your nails are
you have to be able to pick your boogers w/o cutting yourself yet have and accurate pick

then your nails are long enough
a french manicure is just painting the tips white, so you should have at least a tiny bit of length
let them grow, to to a nail salon and ask them good luck
It doesn't matter, they are professionals and can work with anything.

However, if you do not want to spend 25$ and be disappointed, you can buy the Sally Hansen french manicure kit and do your own nails at home. It is dummy proof (I say this because I'm not the most artistic girl around and i was able to do it)
Any length. A french manicure looks great on short fingernails and toenails. I like wide white but some people like a thin white line. The look I like best is short nails, with a wide white tip, almost half the nail wide. Very sexy:)
it doesnt matter they can put fake nails on them.
My mom owns a nail salon. And when I see her doing french manicure, its suppose to be a normal height, but if its too long then they will try to make it better. So even with long manicure it will still be okay, since they can fix it. But your nail shouldn't be sooooooooo small
Some length is good but if not a good nail tech can still create a french manicure look.
They can be any length. The nail tech can put fake nails or do acrylic or gel overlay on your nails.
Get acrylic tips put on. That's what I do until my nails can grow out.

I went and got a french manicure at a nail salon last Friday. I don't have fake nails, they're real.?

I tried taking off the polish with nail polish remover and none of it will come off my nails. It's like they used something that they put over fake nails. I went back there and complained and they didnt' do anything for me. They could barely understand what I was saying. Because of course all nail salon places don't speak ^$(*$%26amp;%%26amp; English. I'm very angry and feel my nails are ruined and I don't know how to get it off. They look like crap now. I think the brush they used on me had acrylic stuff on it and all that is now all over my nails. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!I went and got a french manicure at a nail salon last Friday. you can soak it off with acetone, but the prep they did to make the acrylic adhere will still make your nails look crappy. after soaking-off, just file/buff and coat with clear 'til they're grown-out.I went and got a french manicure at a nail salon last Friday. I don't have fake nails, they're real.?
first try removing it again (sometimes the put multipliable coats on to make it stay on longer) or there might be a special nail polish remover that you can buy (it might be more expensive) or you could find another place (like the place wear you get your hair done) where they do speak English and are professional and have them remove it .... best of luck
soak them use a nail filler and then use alchool
Use Acetone , you can find it at any drug store .

    Hope this helps :)
Try to gently buff it off. Then put a mineral coat back on. Then use a gentle top coat to keep them safe from breaking. I wonder if they use a type of spray paint? I've had that done to me before and regular Acetone nail polish remover wouldn't get it off. I actually had to use a cotton ball and some paint thinner on them. It was horrible. I'll never go to another nail salon where I can't effectively voice my opinion because the technician can't understand me.....It unsafe for us!
It's called an acrylic overlay. It will strengthen your nails, but if you want it removed, they can soak your nails and get it off for you.
ya that happened to me. they usually put like 50 top coats on it's really weird. so good luck with your problemo♥♥♥
    nail file and paint thinner.
Use a nail polish remover with acetone in it.
Use acetone nail polish. If there is acrylic on your nails it will take it off. It may take a few tries. Soak your nails in it for a few minutes if neccesary. Then buff your nails with one of those files that has 4 different grits on it starting with the roughest down to the softest. This should take all of the polish and any acrylic off.
use polish remover with acetone in it. There not good with real nails at those places! Ive went there before to get my nails done (real) and they did a horrible job and just constantly harassed me and told me I should get fake ones.
    OMG

    ''OMG''!!!!!!!!!!!
when your nails grow it will come off... because the new nail will wont have the stuff on it. so just cut your nails every week. try a nail filer too.
Try a nail file and more remover. I'm pretty sure they used acrylic.
Go to a different nail salon (not the one u got your nails done from) and ask to get them removed. If for some reason they say something like,';no, u need fill!'; be like no i don't I want them OFF. but don't let them give you a fill. If they refuse to take your nails off, go to the drugstore and purchase, ';sally hanson helathy cuticles now!'; (it's in a tiny orange container) and put your nails in there, then try and rip your nails off with plyers.
bleach, water, viniger, rubbing alcohol, look up how to get fake nail coating off
Well dont use too much products or else your nails really will be ruined. i would say try a ittle bit of the nail filer and nail polish remover. some times if you paint over tha french maincure with another color and then try to take it off wiht the nail polish remover, the paint under it, in this case french maincure, usually comes off with it. other than that i would have to say it will come off eventuaally. good luck :)
If it has acrylic in it, try soaking them in nail polish remover for a few minutes. Best type is the one with acetone in it. Good luck.
Oh my ******* god it's the end of the world !@%!#W$!%26amp;$#!%26amp;@^%#85r!

Like here comes the 15261346 thumb downs.

Seriously, paint over them with a dark color....or just let it wear off.

Isn't it logical to use nail polish remover?
Gross, i know how you feel, sometimes they do a crap job on me and they dont speak english so i cant get a refund. Just boil some water and scrub with baking soda.
nails grow, paint over it and wait for them to grow out. It's not the end of the world, at least you didn't get a really bad hair cut or something that is more noticable like that. How many people's nails do you really notice in a day?

What exactly are the French Tips at nail salons?

What exactly are the French Tips at nail salons? are they considered a regular french manicure when they just paint on your natural nail? or are they those fake white tips they put on?What exactly are the French Tips at nail salons?
A french tip is the pale pink and white tip on your nails after a manicure. There's also french tip acrylics. What they do is they glue the plastic white tip on ur nail then put a powder substance moistened by a certain liquid and set it

on your real nail. the substance then hardens and it becomes

the ';plastic'; nails that u see. the new nails are then filed and painted

to ur choice. French tip is the look that i described before. What exactly are the French Tips at nail salons?
French tips are a fake acrylic end being glued to your natural nail, then a gel coating is put over it to allow it to stay in place. It looks really nice, but can be really damaging to your nails. I use to have these and if you have a lot of money their fun to have, but for me personally I felt I wasted my money on these because they can be rather expensive to constantly get filled. I would recommend going to the salon and just getting a french manicure. Hope this helps : )
It's when the nail bed is a natural pink color and the tips are painted white
I'm pretty sure they are the fake acrylic nails with the french tip.

  • How did salons contribute towards the French Revolution?

I am writing a Historical Investigation on how the role of salons were significant to the French Revolution and i need some help finding some trusted sites for background information and if possible could someone provide me with the sites and also summarize what happened? I am a little confused as to how it all connects together. Thanks. How did salons contribute towards the French Revolution?
Well, salons were normally hosted by cultured intellectual ladies who enouraged all sorts of philosophers, writers, etc, to mingle and discuss their new ideas. so that way some of the ideas of enlightenment philosophers, like Voltaire, Monatsqeue, rousseau etc would be spread about. And the ideas of these philosophers did influence the leaders of the French Revolution.

Im 17, a Guy, and Straight but i want to go to Nail Salon and get a Pink, Red, or French Pedicure should i?

Interesting, I suppose.Im 17, a Guy, and Straight but i want to go to Nail Salon and get a Pink, Red, or French Pedicure should i?
Ha seriously!!!Im 17, a Guy, and Straight but i want to go to Nail Salon and get a Pink, Red, or French Pedicure should i?
to be honest i think you shouldn't because it'll look a little awkward.

but if your mind is set on getting a mani/pedi you should just go for a clear color

or even black or dark blue for your fingers cuz guys could pull those colors off. :)
you could but if anyone sees it expect to be made fun of
French would be the most flattering to your feet.
..uhh is this a joke? lol
Go ahead and do it. Dont worry about what other people say or think, it's not hurting anyone so go ahead and do it.

It's not gay eather, it's called crossdressing, and there is no problem with it.

I will for warn you though, expect people to treat you differnt, but as I said, who cares, true friends wont care if you do. So goodluck if you do it :)

And hell, why your at it, get a Manicure why your at it.
    wtf? u dont sound straight
    wait why do want too?

    whats the reason?

but if u want,go ahead, nothings stopping u

but if u are too embarrased then just buy nailpolish and do it at home1

Is it ok to let an 11 year old get fake french tips from a nail salon?

what do you think??Is it ok to let an 11 year old get fake french tips from a nail salon?
if you are referring to just the tips which are temporary, then it's ok if it's for a special occasion. if you are referring to acrylic or gels absolutely NOT! artificial nails are never good for the natural nails and the longer you have them on the worse you natural nails get. there is even a chance of gettting mold and fungus on your nails. as for french manicures, they are worthless. they genrally cost extra money and the white tip chips off in a day or two. for an 11 year old girl, just get her a nice manicure or even a spa manicure for extra hydration. Is it ok to let an 11 year old get fake french tips from a nail salon?
Tips can be glued on, and last about 3 days. I would not suggest an 11 year old getting gel or acrylic...agree with Spa Snob, but as for her comment about gel and acrylic doing permanent damage, that's not true. Products don't cause damage, technicians do. If you're ever at a salon where they use a drill on real nails, run out of there as fast as you can! Maybe a fun manicure would be more appropriate for her.
No. That's too young. Just let her play around with some nail polish.

I'm not saying that she's immature, but w/ fake nails, you have to be more careful with the things you do, and you don't want them getting infected. They're not even supposed to be left on that long, but people do anyway.
Only if she has nice strong nails if not you need to harden her nails I'm 11 right now so you might not listen to me but i guess if your asking about an 11 year old you should hear from an 11 year old.Hope this works!
For a special occasion, Birthday Party. maybe even a gift that would be very nice(: Letting her have one all the time wouldn't be a good habit...
heck no. french tips look entirely silly on girls as young as 11...sorry but its the truth. try a french manicure,,,,that would look cute :)
It gets addicting no! That's how they start.
i think it ok my mom took me when i was 11 and i though it was so much fun
er, maybe for a birthday party or a special occasion.. its always fun. but dont get her into the habit!
    yeah its okay

Two weeks ago, I went into a nail salon to get a french manicure....?

How do I get the junk off my nails that they put on??Two weeks ago, I went into a nail salon to get a french manicure....?
Nail polish remover :)Two weeks ago, I went into a nail salon to get a french manicure....?
Now,I have two ways I can tell you to do this. I am assuming that when you say ';junk'; you are meaning the acrylic with which they molded your nail. I'm sure you already know how to remove polish.

Anyway, the first way, and this is the safest way, is to buy a bottle of acetone from your local beauty supply store, pour some in a bowl that is big enough for both of your hands to fit and immerse your fingertips in this for a while (15-20 mins.) depending on how strong the acetone is. In the nail shops, they will usually put the soaking bowl inside a bigger bowl which is filled with very warm water which seems to speed up the process. After about 5-7 mins, start trying to peel/pry off the acrylic with a nail clipper or something thin that can actually get between your nail and the acrylic. Just repeat this process until you get that stuff off.

The other way, the ';ghetto'; way, does not take a long time, but it can hurt like hell. Sometimes blood is involved. Just kidding. Just put your finger tip in your mouth, bite down just enough to apply pressure that will make a little crack in the acrylic and pry it off with a nail clipper. If you have a low tolerance for pain, then I would go with the first way.

Oh, and when you get them off, your real finger nails, or whatever is left of them, will be really raggedy and thin, so be prepared and have some Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails to build the nail strength back up. Now, of course, if you are allergic to any of this stuff, please don't try it. Good Luck!

P.S. You could just go back to the shop and have them take it off, but that would cost a few bucks.
With nail polish remover...what kind of stuff did they put on it?
Use Acetone. You can find it at your local beauty supply store.

What are guys opinions on french tip salon nails??

Not the super scary long ones but the kinda fingernail sized ones...and what about painted toe-nails????

like a pale orange colour. kinda beachy colour???

[ don't think about the fact that you have to pay for them...

just what is your opinion on the way they look.?? ]What are guys opinions on french tip salon nails??
It's nice - but guys don't really look at that...What are guys opinions on french tip salon nails??
This guy thinks all the painting and shaping of nails is silly.
    I love French-tipped nails. ;-)
On the french tip salon nails- I used to bite my nails ALL the time..it was gross lookin'!..and then I got those, and my boyfriend liked them..but he told me to take them off after like a week..so I did, and then I grew my real nails out and stopped biting them..he thinks my real nails are like the sexiest thing EVER...lol:P
I don't know many guys that really care about toenail color. I'm sure there are a couple out there, but I don't know them. I can't recall any conversations with friends about a girl's toenails and color. Now if she has claw feet, we'll talk about that disgusting habit! Sides of her heels look like sandpaper from the garage and all - that's gotta go!

Nice manicured fingernails are a plus. Doesn't matter if french tip (although I think they look better than painted) as long as the fingers, hands, and nails are cared for. No one wants his girl to have dragon hands!
Could not care less. As long as your nails aren't nasty then that's it.
girl... guys dont care about what color your nails are as long as you dont look messed up lol! just keep your nails clean and nice!
.............. i really dont think most guy will notice i wud but im not most guys every one knows most guy think about one thing and not much else in most case
This guy thinks painted nails look great and very sexy. It shows you care about how you look and will go that extra step to look good. I especially like the french manicure look on the fingernails....

As for the toes, I love red. Let's face it, most people think feet are ugly (I'm not one of them). But to paint your toenails help gives your feet a fisnished, neater look. To top them off, keep the moisturized and you're good to go!
i don't even pay attention, the 1st guys right.
Well. . . . it kinda depends on where you went, if they did good then MAYBE they might like it. If you want to take a shot at it I recommend Pro Nails on hurstborne (near chuck e cheeses) or in Oxmoor Mall

  • How much does it cost to get a blue french tip done at a salon?

thanx!!How much does it cost to get a blue french tip done at a salon?
that probably depends on where u go. they all charge differently. How much does it cost to get a blue french tip done at a salon?
It doesn't matter what color french tip you get, the price is going to be the same. Depending on where you are, an acrylic french manicure can cost anywhere from $25 - $50 dollars. The $50 are usually at hair salons in which they'll give you a take home kit that allows you to touch up your nails yourself. I would roughly estimate a regular blue french tip manicure would cost about $30 dollars, not including tip.
Probably the same as a regular french. Just ask the person who's doing your nails that you want a blue tip instead of white and be like no additional charge right?

How Do You Ask For A French Manicure At A Salon And How.?

I Want White Tips But Not RoundHow Do You Ask For A French Manicure At A Salon And How.?
    1) Go to the Salon

    2) Go to the Nail station

    3) Ask, for a French Manicure

    4) say: But I'd like them Not round,

( In order to have them not round, you need your nails to be square, and if they aren't in that case, your gonna need to ask her if she can make them square, Best idea, is to bring a picture of what you want and show it to her )

    Hope I helped :)

    - Love LillyHow Do You Ask For A French Manicure At A Salon And How.?
Many nail salons welcome walk-ins, so when you enter the shop, tell them you would like a french manicure. ( Acrylic or Manicure with white tip polish) Then when you sit down tell the nail lady you want it square shaped not round.

They will do it the way you want ,as long as you tell them before they start :)
when you say white tips i think your talking about acrylics or gels.um but if your talking about just a basic manicure well they tell you to pick out your color say you want french.if you want acrylics say you want a french on your acrylics and if you want gels ask for pink and whites which are the best or french.when you want a french manicure you tell the nail technician you want french.its actually really simple
You say, ';I'd like a French manicure (or French tips) and I would like them to be more square than round.'; The nail tech will usually try to make the ends of your nails the same shape as your cuticles because that it what looks the most natural/well-balanced. If you want them even more squared-off than that, tell her (or him...).

    Hope this helps.
just say you want a french manicure. It's standard to be square tipped and not round, especially if you are young. If you're unsure though just say you want them square tipped and not round. Don't worry, just pop in and ask!
you ask the lady for them. When I go, they put on the nails and then when its get to the painting portion they ask if I want white tips. Voila! French Manicure. They will ask you how square or round you want them.
Just tell them what you want and they'll listen to you :)

You just did.I want to go the nail salon for the first time; i want french manicure acrylics. How should i say what i want?
Say what you want, they will know. But do NOT EVER say it's your first time. I swear they will do a crappy job or quicky job, just because they figure you'll never know. And inspect them thoroughly and always go back if you see a defect. You paid good money, you deserve a good job!I want to go the nail salon for the first time; i want french manicure acrylics. How should i say what i want?
Tell them you'd like a full set with a french manicure. Don't let em ';paint'; the french. Have it airbrushed with 3 coats of clear. Lasts much longer.

    Happy New Year
I need a full set of french tips
    say:

    ';I want a new set of french style acrylics.';

    or just say:

    ';I ant a new set';

they know what you're talking about. I've done at several different places. they all know what it is!

do you have any french manicure acrilics??
    just say i want acrylics

they'll know what your talking about=]
Just say u want a full set.. and they'll usually show u a whole bunch of designed tips and pick one.. u can tell them to add glitter or designs to your nails too. most ppl just put a design on their ring finger tip. i got my nails done a week ago.. and i got a zebra tip design. only 27$ =)
    full set french manicure

almost that. just say you'd like new acrylics and also that you want the french manicure. it's usually like $5 more where i'm from. happy nail salon day :)
ok u walk in and say I would like acrylics french mani not that hard!

Just say ';French manicure acrylics please.';.
The same way you asked on here.
okay, you say you want a full set, and if they ask you what color, say french manicure
    ditto, ditto, and ditto
just how u just wrote it :)
say i want french manicure acrylics.........duh!!!
tell them you want a french manicure. Then next time ask for a fill.

It'll be around $30 depending on where you go.
    just say french manicure acrylics
Tell them french manicure but if you are looking for something else, just ask them questions and they will be more than happy to help you. Have fun
Dont get the acrylics. It jacks up your nails. Just have them give you teh french on your normal nails. Once you go acrylic and you decide you want to take them off your nails look jacked. And when you get them you have to be committed to getting them filled like every couple weeks.
just the way you asked in this question! perfectly!
    i want french manicure acrylics.
tell them u want french tips..on acrlics u stoopid azz

  • When doing a french twist updo, is it better not to shampoo the day before my visit to the salon?

or is it better to have my hair squeaky clean/dry (but not conditioned)

thanks! When doing a french twist updo, is it better not to shampoo the day before my visit to the salon?
don't shampoo. they are going to wash your hair when you get there and if it is too squeaky clean it wont stay well and it will appear fine. When doing a french twist updo, is it better not to shampoo the day before my visit to the salon?
don't shampoo. a little dirt and texture make it easier to work with. also, if you have fine hair, roll your hair on hot rollers the day before. again, any added texture helps.
Don't shampoo, I always heard hairstyles hold when they are just a little dirty
Second-day hair is almost always better for updos, but if you're afraid of getting the oilies, you can try my favorite secret product - dry shampoo.

It's actually a power that you spray into your hair, look for Klorane or Algemarin on Amazon.com...you spray it in, fluff it around. They say to brush it out, but I never do. it will eliminate greasy roots, and give great body and volume to your hair, first OR second day!

    Good luck.
It would be fine to shampoo the day before, but don't let the salon shampoo it before styling it.

The french twist will hold better if your hair has accumulated some natural oil in it before they style it. If you allow them to wash it, it will be flyaway unless they condition it. If they condition it, it will be too soft to hold the style.

What is the difference between white and pink nails, and French nails at a nail salon?

those people are wrong . hahaha . pink %26amp;%26amp; white is when they use the pink acrylic for the top of your nails %26amp;%26amp; white acrylic for the white french manicure part of your nails . french nails is when you get a manicure or regular acrylic %26amp;%26amp; they paint the white on . with pink %26amp;%26amp; white since the acrylic on the bottom is already white all they do is buff it like normally %26amp;%26amp; paint a clear coat on it . also pink %26amp;%26amp; white is more expensive. What is the difference between white and pink nails, and French nails at a nail salon?
The pink nails are a American manicure and the French are the brown at the bottom I personally think that I like the pink on bottom better more natural looking.

Cost is usually the same. What is the difference between white and pink nails, and French nails at a nail salon?
The only difference is the name, white and pink nails are a french manicure, whether painted or put on by using acrylics.

In french, what's the difference between le sejour and le salon?

None really, or rather not significant enough to prefer one over the other.

Personally, I use one or the other indifferently. In french, what's the difference between le sejour and le salon?
le sejour- living room. le salon is an upgraded version of a living room. usually u have all the expensive furniture in it. as for le sejour; its the family room, casual. its hard to understand because in france and once colonies of france they design their homes like this, a formal room and a casual room.In french, what's the difference between le sejour and le salon?

French Nails without paying the salon price?

Have any of you girls used those fake glue on french nails ... You usually find them at your local CVS or Wallgreens? Are they good? I'm asking b/c I use to be one of those women to spend $30 on gel fill ins every two weeks at the nail salon. It became to be too much of a bad habit for me and it just wasn't worth it anymore. So, any recommendations on store bougth brand would be great, thanks :)French Nails without paying the salon price?
Now I'm using Kiss brand Everlasting French nails. (they can last up to 7 days). Theyre pretty good. I mean, of course acrylics are better quality, but the price is just so expensive. I think they actually look more natural than acrylics though because acrylics are so thick -- these are thinner.

I'd recommend Kiss nails. Get the ones labeled ';real short'; -- they are actually medium length. The ';long'; ones are just too long and come off more easily. Careful with the glue not to get it on your skin when you apply the nails. Theyre good -- mine have lasted up to 4 days before one falls off, but the good thing is that you can just reapply with the glue, so if you make repairs, they can last a while.French Nails without paying the salon price?
    Hi There!

I now just skip the fakes and use the French Manicure product 203 - Natural Nails French Manicure. The web site has a 10% discount and free shipping on some items right now (cool huh!) The Elasticoat they sell works really good to protect and strengthen nails (looks like a shiny clear coat when on).

This is the web site information on it;Natural Nails French Manicure (1/2 fl. oz.) is an ultraviolet polish that is designed to use ambient light on the nails to highlight their natural color for a French Nail look. This hypoallergenic product contains no formaldehyde or toluene (also known as methylbenzene or phenylmethane).

It's amazing to watch your nails acquire that French Nail look. Begin by brushing on the French Manicure, just as you would apply fingernail polish. After the first coat dries, add a second coat for a deep clear look. An optional鈥攁nd recommended鈥攕tep is to add a layer of Elasticoat over the French Manicure. It protects the French Manicure finish and helps to give an even deeper look to your natural French Nails.

No more glue or falling off nails which is a bonus. This stuff you just brush on and you are done! The French Nails are naturally done without the separate steps and it dries quick (good for me since I tend to be impatient).

    Hope it helps..:)
i used to use them all the time - the little $5 kits. they are nice for a special occasion if u dont wanna pay full price. but they dont stay on long. the longest mine lasted was i think a week. u pay more for salon but those stay on for a month with out a fill usually - for me atleast. its deff worth going the cheaper route if ur just looking for a nice nails for an event but its get to be a pain to do them every week if u want to keep them. ur better off goin to a salon for them if u want to continually wear them....it is worth the money.

as far as brand i cant remember what i used to use. they were all about the same.
instead go but .. NAIL ENVY its at salons about 20.00 a bottle works awesome will make ur nails very hard and grow very fast . at walmart they have a white tip pen made for french nails .. it looks like a marker but its for ur nails . gel nails are alot . why didnt u get acrylic nails ? they are 20 to get on and 15 a fill . sometimes u can make them last 3 weeks if you have someone that does a good job
i have used the Kiss brand short french nails. I LOVE them! They don't chip or pull up as badly as salon nails and they were only 6 bucks! I have found that some are a little too pink and they look cheap, so be sure to get a color that coordinates with your skintone :)
ok well im 15, and i always get mine from places like that at stores-- ive never went to a professional. and EVERYONE sits there staring at them saying they look nice and they actually think they are real. and even the few people who know they are fake still think they are cute.
girl you can go to wal mart and get fake french nails for about less than 10 bucks...dollar general has some as well. they work. i would try dollar general or wal mart...they have the best at the best prices.
I don't wear acrylics but I get the nail kits by nailene for french manicures. It has a felt pen for the white tips. So easy %26amp; convenient.
Yeah, they are but they oftenly suck..

    Just get acrylics

Your thoughts of Nadya Sullman getting regular French manicures at the salon, her hair done at the salon,?

expensive cosmetics at the cosmetics counter of a department store and new clothes despite how poor she claims to be?

Why is she being so lavish in vanity when she has 14 children, collects food stamps, doesn't work and is still living at home with her aging parents? WTF!Your thoughts of Nadya Sullman getting regular French manicures at the salon, her hair done at the salon,?
...Sometimes we live no particular way but our own......

Let her live her life. A celebrity she is not.Your thoughts of Nadya Sullman getting regular French manicures at the salon, her hair done at the salon,?
She is a symbol for what's going wrong with the US economy right now!

She's the paragon of irresponsible action based solely on WANT and irrational emotions. The notion of ';I *WANT*, so I should HAVE, and damn whether I can afford to pay for any of it';. The notion there will always be someone else in society to bail her out for her own stupidity.

What makes Nadya's case so tragic is the brood of 14 children who will NOT have a chance at a healthy upbringing - unless they are taken away from her. She can be as much an idiot as she wants in her own private life but I feel for all those kids who have HER as a mother.

By the way, you forgot her UGLY plastic-looking cosmetic surgery. Only the blind are fooled that she's had nothing done.
In my opinion she is desperately trying to emulate her idol A. Jolie. Nadya's lips look totally ridiculous even more so than the rest of her so called attributes. She is one wacked out woman. She is living in her own egocentric reality despite how she is harming those around her.
what a lair she is, claiming to be ';poor';! you are right! why buy the expensive cosmetics- you need to support your children- RIGHT?

she is plain out loud D-U-M-B.

seriously. she has- how many? FOURTEEN KIDS!!!!

    AND she does NOT work!!!!!!!
People say she is insane.. i dont think that she is insane but you are right that is wrong. She said to the news interviewer that everything she does is for her kids. But are you sure that she really did that and if she did isnt it possible that she got a coupon in the mail of free hair and nail work. You never know. all these rumors go around about celbrities to. and half of them arent real.
I guess I'm just grateful she's not following me around reporting to Y!A folks what I'm doing...

God Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

Courage to change the things I can, and the

    Wisdom to know the difference.

    AMEN
She needs to save that money so she can attempt to support her litter. I guess since she has been offered $1mil to do porn, she feels that it is ok to splurge on manicures and hair salons so she will look good (gag) in it.
child services need to take those kids, and kill the octomom. also the media needs to stop talking about her and obama for 85% of the news.
Without even including the vanity items, she seems to be too lavish, just by having so many children.
Actually, I try to think of that irresponsible plastic twit as infrequently as possible.

I'd be a happy man if I could go a day without hearing or reading her name.
I DESERVE EVERYTHING I WANT! YOU SHOULD ALL LOVE AND CARE FOR ME (and the 14 little b******s that came out of my huge gaping v*****)!
shes just exploiting all the donated money and all the things that kind hearted people i heard she was gonna start doing porn it came out on the news lmao
I wish the media would just leave her alone, then she would fade to black. This would not be news 30 years ago.
She needs to look good to whore herself out to more men.
I think it's already been established that she's a lazy dimwit, so let's move on to the next subject, shall we?
    S-E-L-F-I-S-H
I feel bad for the children. They are the victims of this.
    All those interviews...
She's a mess. And who watches her kids while she's at the salon or nail place?
She's counting on a book deal, reality show, or a major motion picture. lol
She doesn't have very many brain cells.
    She's dumb.
yeah-i hate her, too. but going on TV shows pays off!

Why did salon refuse to give me a French Bikini Wax? Is it illegal in NJ?

I usually have it done in Philly but today I popped in a NJ salon to have it done and she looked at me like I was crazy. She said - 'we don't do that here'. When I asked 'why' - she wasn't sure and just said some places have their rules. Why did salon refuse to give me a French Bikini Wax? Is it illegal in NJ?
I'm assuming french is the same as a Brazilian where they completely take off all your hair. If that is the case I would assume that the salon workers need some type of special certification to wax everything since it's considered a private intimate spot. I don't know for sure but that's what I would guess. Why did salon refuse to give me a French Bikini Wax? Is it illegal in NJ?
Some salons and practitioners don't feel comfortable doing it. Other salons just don't want to take the liability of the service. Also, in some states the board of Cosmetology requires them to have insurance to perform these services, just in case they make a really big mistake.
Like she said, all salons are different. But if you know a place that does it how you like it, I would stick with them! Never try out a new salon if the one you normally go to is working for you.
It's not illlegal, but some salons only do regular bikini waxes.
whats the difference between french and normal
Why did you question it? What's the beg deal if they don't do it? Get over yourself.
some salons just dont like to do waxing. especially in that area.

Which French Realist was it that set up his own exhibition because the Salon rejected him?

I know this is probably a really easy question but I can't remember who it was! Courbet?

Also if you know what the name of this exhibition was or anything, feel free to inform me!Which French Realist was it that set up his own exhibition because the Salon rejected him?
Courbet, but he wasn't rejected by the Salon. it was hanging committee for the exhibition at the Exposition Universelle of 1855 that rejected a few paintings.

    From;

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustave_Cou鈥?/a>

    ';In 1855, Courbet submitted fourteen paintings for exhibition at the Exposition Universelle. Three were rejected for lack of space, including A Burial at Ornans and his other monumental canvas The Artist's Studio. Refusing to be denied, Courbet took matters into his own hands: he displayed forty of his paintings, including The Artist's Studio, in his own adjacent gallery called The Pavillion of Realism, which was a temporary structure he erected next door to the official Salon like Exposition Universelle. Although artists like Eug猫ne Delacroix were ardent champions of his effort, the public came mostly out of curiosity and to deride him. Attendance and sales were disappointing, but Courbet's status as a hero to the French avant-garde became assured.';

Sally Hansen has a kit that includes them. I've found that using a little white nail paint pen works the best for me, it's very precise so you don't need those annoying tapes. Hint - if you do use the tape wait until the polish is COMPLETELY dry before you take them off or you'll ruin your manicure.

In a salon it's on top, at home with the white sticks, it's usually under the nail...
on top.... but if you do it at home you should get the stickers that divide where the finger nail and the tip should be! =)
every salon is different, some places have white tips they glue on before putting on the acrylic, and others use clear long tips and after trimming them down and acrylic they paint on the white. i perfer white tips, its easier and faster. i've never seen anyone paint under the nail for the white tip.

How do I keep my french acrylic nails that I got done at the salon, from looking bad?

I got my nails done a week ago, and I usually wait 3 weeks before getting them filled. The edges around the bottom always look tacky beacause they lift up and I was wondering if there was some way I could make them look better. How do I keep my french acrylic nails that I got done at the salon, from looking bad?
you can file the bottom gunk off, and then paint them with clear nail polish. How do I keep my french acrylic nails that I got done at the salon, from looking bad?
get them done every 2 weeks
They have over the counter supplies that you can get at any pharmacy. If they are popping up, they weren't applied correctly. You can use an itty bitty bit of superglue to re adhere them. If they already need to be filled in, purchase the powder and fill them in. DO NOT use Acetone nail polish remover to take off the polish. It makes the superglue come apart. You MUST use NON ACETONE nail polish remover.
Stay away from washing dishes , unless you wear gloves ! Alcohol is a sure killer !
if you want your nails to look nice at all times you need to make an appointment every two wks. i would not even mess with them it makes matters worse.
You have to be super careful with Acrylics when they start to separate from the nail. This causes water to get in between the nail and the acrylic and will cause a fungal infection. Luckily this fungus is very easy to see b/c it will look like dirt or green stuff under your nail.Mine sometimes separate at the top if I wait too long for a fill but if they are separating from the bottom you need to talk to your nail tech about using stronger glue or letting the acrylic set longer or something.

If your nail tech doesn't take this seriously I would find another b/c if you ever wear color you might not notice a fungus and they can get so bad that you would lose your nail, unlikely since you see someone every three weeks but still something to think about.

Some people's nails grow faster than others and you may just be one of those people that has to go more often.
First, quit getting acrylic. They lift to easily. Get gel. Don't wait three weeks, go every two. Also, try not to get them too long, that makes them lift faster. Try not to wash dishes too much without using gloves, and type too much!

How to take off french tips without going to the nail salon?

i want 2 take my nails off but i dont wana go 2 the nail place.

so how would i take em offHow to take off french tips without going to the nail salon?
Soak them in nail polish remover and then slide a nail thingy (cannot think of name) under them to pop them off.How to take off french tips without going to the nail salon?
I tried soaking them in nail polish before but it didn't work for me. I usually end up biting the tips to break them off. Its the only thing that actually worked for me. It still made my nails suck for a month. I just stopped having them done.
Try sticking your teeth between the corner of your nails because those side usually seems to loosen up first most of the time after u had ur nails done for a few or more days or u can get a Knife or scissors between those lower corners of ur nails to get them off.

I believe the name of the one I used was:

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails: Sheer Romance 3415 French Manicure, 3 ct

Either way it was by Sally Hansen, it was really easy to do, and I received a lot of compliments..

It is not a press on, by any means and you don't need to use any glue, which is great! You use your natural nails. (Even if they are short %26amp; neat)

The Sally Hansen french manicure kit can be bought @ walmart, and comes with 3 nail polishes (colors: white, pink, and final gloss coat) and nail shape stickers to use as a guide paint your tips. I only used the white nail polish (for my tips), and the gloss to finish off my manicure. I didn't end up using the pink fleshy tone for my base as I felt it didn't accurately matched my skin tone. It still worked great, looked very natural %26amp; it felt great, because I didn't have to feel awkward grabbing things or picking things up. Also, because you are solely using nail polish, it comes off easily with nail polish remover, plus they give you 20 nail shape sticker guides, so you can re-due them over more than once to keep them nice.Alternative to salon french nails?
I have used the Kiss French Nails

    quite a few times

    (probably about 10)

    and i like them

    the only problem

is that you have to file them to the size you like

and they are usually pretty long

    so its very time consuming

    also they flip off sometimes

but its nice that you can just re-glue

    i think they are good

but dont look as nice as they do at salons

and thye dont stay on as long either

but for a store bought kit

    i really do like them

though they can be kind of hard to take off

they have a nail removal kit

but i have never used it

because i just soak my nail

    in full acetone
their all equally bad and super-fake looking.

Is it ok for a guy to walk into the beauty salon and ask for a french mani/pedi?

How long does this take and how much does it cost? How do i ask the nail tech for a french mani/pedi? How long do my real nails need to be to get this?Is it ok for a guy to walk into the beauty salon and ask for a french mani/pedi?
Of course it is - don't listen to the narrow-minded opinions expressed here. Personally I don't like French manicures, but I've been getting my nails professionally manicured for the past 5 years. I have a manicure about every two to three weeks, and I love having it done. It's very relaxing, and I like my nails to look really nice. I get a lot of compliments. I wear my nails quite long (for a guy) - about 5-7mm past the fingertip, and I have them finished in a clear glossy polish as part of my manicure. Between manicures I clean them myself twice daily and apply OPI Nail Envy (gloss or matt, depending on my mood) as strengthener every other day. Having my nails done makes me feel really good about myself and gives me confidence. Is it ok for a guy to walk into the beauty salon and ask for a french mani/pedi?
    y would a guy want a mani/pedi???
yes that is wrong unless your gay, Just keep your nails short as much as u can make sure they are clean everyday and your good to go.
i guess if his nails r SERIOUSLY messed up and he wanted to make a good first impression for someone
not french manicU're but just get a normal one done-it will look classy and give ure nails a shape. A french manicure may look to feminine i would avoid the white tips and go for the clear nail varnish. That would look hot and groomed. It usually takes around 30 minutes and depending on your salon it may cost 拢35 for a french manicure and pedicure together around $50 dollars in America. It is pricey but worth it.

Do you know what a french mani/pedi is? I think you probably want an american...the french has white tips. Depending on where you go, I think together they cost around $40-$50.
If that's what you want, ask for it. It does take a bit longer because the pedicure needs to be very dry before you leave. Cost $23 for the pedicure, $13 for the manicure. $6.00 extra is because of the white detail. They can pretty much do nails of any length. I see guys getting it done every time I go in. (Don't forget tip)
it is okay for a straigt man to get a mani/peti but with no polish. and if you are playing for the other team i do this all the time so im an expert. i get a mani/peti every week with a french mani/peti and it costs me 20 for the peti if you get the full spa option and 12 for the mani with the full spa ooption. you can get a mani french if you have short nails but not if they are all the way up to the skin. if they are just get acrillics.hope i helped.stay beautiful.
its 20-25 for a pedi ($5 for a flower and it depend on how bad your feet are)

and for a mani it's the same
uhh? i dont know but sure i guess
No, it isn't really ok. It's kind of weird actually, but they will probably do it since obviously you are willing to pay. Just tell them you want a french mani/pedi, that is all you have to do. It doesn't take a really long time. An hour os maybe longer. It depends on where you go to get it done. Same with the cost.
If you have to ask, then YES, YOU ARE GAY!
You can go and get it done but you can't come over to my place on Sunday to watch football ever again
Your nails don't have to be too long at all. Just ask them for it. And.. as for time, it takes about 30 minutes and usually around 20-30 dollars, depending on the place.
    yeah it's okay,for a guy i would probably be around $25-$30 and it'll probably take about 45 mins....why a french mani?
It would probably be 20-25 dollars each. Um, why would a guy want a french manicure? I mean I know that some professional men get manicures, but they never get a french.
