When doing a french twist updo, is it better not to shampoo the day before my visit to the salon?

or is it better to have my hair squeaky clean/dry (but not conditioned)

thanks! When doing a french twist updo, is it better not to shampoo the day before my visit to the salon?
don't shampoo. they are going to wash your hair when you get there and if it is too squeaky clean it wont stay well and it will appear fine. When doing a french twist updo, is it better not to shampoo the day before my visit to the salon?
don't shampoo. a little dirt and texture make it easier to work with. also, if you have fine hair, roll your hair on hot rollers the day before. again, any added texture helps.
Don't shampoo, I always heard hairstyles hold when they are just a little dirty
Second-day hair is almost always better for updos, but if you're afraid of getting the oilies, you can try my favorite secret product - dry shampoo.

It's actually a power that you spray into your hair, look for Klorane or Algemarin on Amazon.com...you spray it in, fluff it around. They say to brush it out, but I never do. it will eliminate greasy roots, and give great body and volume to your hair, first OR second day!

Good luck.
It would be fine to shampoo the day before, but don't let the salon shampoo it before styling it.

The french twist will hold better if your hair has accumulated some natural oil in it before they style it. If you allow them to wash it, it will be flyaway unless they condition it. If they condition it, it will be too soft to hold the style.
